Jim Horace Cahoon

Jim Horace Cahoon, age 79, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, July 8th 2017.
Jim, son of Horace and Marie (Dyer) Cahoon was born July 20th 1937 in Baraboo. Jim grew up in Lake Delton and later attended Wisconsin Dells High School where he went on to be a stellar athlete. During his senior year of 1955 Jim was drafted by the Milwaukee Braves and after graduation was immediately assigned to their farm club in Wellsville, New York and the following year in Waycross, Georgia.
Jim later returned to Wisconsin and met his soul mate Marjorie Danbeck. On September 19, 1958 Jim and Marj were married in Baraboo. After serving in the National Guard Jim began a plumbing career with Henry Roser and later was hired by Schadde Plumbing where he worked until his retirement in July 1999.
After their marriage Jim and Marj raised their family on Canyon Road in Lake Delton. They had 2 children, Michael (Pat) Cahoon and Kristin (Jeff) Fitzwilliams, and two grandchildren, Megan Cahoon and Mason Weber. Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening and of course, the Milwaukee Brewers. Jim and Marj also found happiness in spending time with family and friends at their Teal Lake home in Hayward.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Cahoon; and sister, Pat Nuelle.
The family of Jim would like to thank Home Health for all their caring support which enabled Jim to stay at his home during his illness.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
