Jill Mary McNeil

JANESVILLE – Jill Mary McNeil, age 73, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at home. She was born in Dubuque, IA on Dec. 8, 1939, the daughter of Ralph and Eileen (McNamara) Ellwanger. She attended Clark College in Dubuque, IA, and married John “Larry” L. McNeil in Dubuque on June 10, 1961. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2010. She had been employed as a X-Ray Technician, and later by Century 21 Real Estate, and H & R Block. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, house boating on the Mississippi, Casino’s, watching the Packers, and spending time with her family.

Jill is survived by her 3 children: Kelli McNeil of Janesville, John L. (Corinne) McNeil III of Crystal Lake, IL and Colleen (Gene) Long of Janesville; 6 grandchildren: Jen (Jake) Reible, Sara Goodsir, Taylor and Lauren Long, Kennedy and Erin McNeil; brother, Ralph John Ellwanger of Dubuque; and sister, Ann Victoria Ellwanger of Carmel, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
