Jerry L. Coy Sr.

Jerry L. Coy Sr., 68, of Fort Atkinson, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Jerry was born on April 18, 1949 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Burl and Marcella (Lounsbury) Coy. He married Vicki Wimple on December 29, 1987. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2015.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970. He worked for Wright Tree Service and retired after 41 years. Most recently he worked for Behr Industries in Waukesha for the past 2 years.
Jerry was a very giving person, but his passion was hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt with his friends and family up north or out west with many record hunts. He hunted all the seasons and all types of game.
Jerry is survived by his children, Jerry Coy II and Wendy (Darrell) Cartwright both of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Ryan and Morgan Coy, Derrick, Brandon and Emily Cartwright, Allie and Joshua Gilbert, Austin Berg and Brittany and Megan Ganzow; siblings, Rosemary (Chester) Fleck, Phyllis (Jim) Lange, Laura (Harold) Durkee and Ruth (Marty) Bellcour and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, David, Ronald and Herbert.
Military Honors will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday at the memorial home. Please join the family at the American Legion Dugout, 201 S. Water St. in Fort Atkinson, starting at 6:30 p.m., for a meal and a time of fellowship.
