JANESVILLE— Jerome “Jerry” L. Frat, age 55, of Janesville, died on Friday, June 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Janesville surrounded by his family. He was born in Rockford, IL on June 26, 1957, the son of Kazimierz and Betty (Templin) Frat. Jerry had worked at Fagan Chevrolet. He was a beloved brother and friend. He had strong convictions in his Christian faith. He was a strong advocate of Christian Children Fund and Children’s Rights and especially appreciated the Community Support Program of Rock County.

Jerry loved to test his culinary skills on his family. He was always trying to improve the Polish recipes he remembered from his childhood. He enjoyed fishing, going to the bookstore and coffee clutches with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was happiest spending time with his family.

He is survived by 5 siblings: Jim Frat, Joel (Mary) Frat, Ted Frat, and Dorothy (John) Bahr all of Janesville and his twin sister, Mary (Craig) Scheidegger of Beloit; a niece, Angela of Janesville; and a nephew, Matthew of Janesville; and 3 special friends; Carol, Kaj and Tom. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Anthony J. Frat, and an infant triplet brother.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Janesville.
