Jerome Frawley

Jerome Frawley, 83, of Akan Township, died, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his home. He was born March 7, 1929 the son of William and Marie (Kelly) Frawley in Richland Center. Jerome graduated from Aquinas High School in La Crosse in 1948. On November 15, 1952 he married Mary Fleming at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gays Mills. Jerome was a lifelong dairy farmer on the original Frawley homestead which was settled by his grandfather in the 1890s. Jerome enjoyed his Brown Swiss cattle along with hunting and fishing.

Jerome is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary, 7 children, Greg (Maureen) Frawley of Verona, Maureen (Joseph) Lemire of Blue Mounds, Kevin Frawley of Akan Township, Rita Frawley of Richland Center, Brian (Valerie) Frawley of Portland, MI, Jane (Paul) Tisdel of Madison, Patrick Frawley of Fitchburg, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Helen (Les) Schlicht of LaCrosse, sister-in-law, Lucy Frawley of Akan Township, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents William and Marie Frawley, son Terence, brothers Paul, Bernard, and Norbert Frawley, and sister Margaret Slaney.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Rolling Ground at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Richland Center. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM where a rosary will be prayed at 4:00 PM. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
