Janice D. (Spani) Meudt

Ridgeway- Janice D. (Spani) Meudt, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.
Janice was born on February 18, 1944, in Monroe, Wisconsin, to Joseph Spani and Dorothy (Cutler) Spani. Janice graduated from Blanchardville in 1962. Later that year she married Larry Meudt and they had two daughters.
Janice spent many years selling Avon products as well as working in Madison for Cuna Mutual Insurance Company and Lands’ End in Dodgeville. After retiring she bartended for several local bars in Ridgeway and the Hyde Store. She enjoyed her excursions to Davenport to gamble with her caring companion Ted Sawle. She was also a part of a card club that enjoyed playing Euchre in the mornings and she loved to spend time with her family, especially her two great-grandsons.
Janice is survived by her daughters Theresa Olson of Dodgeville and Lori (Steve) Murphy of Spring Green; her three grandchildren Trevor (Alissa) Olson, Trey Olson and Lindsey Murphy; two great-grandchildren Tayson and Grayson Olson; her two sisters JoEllen Schulz of Faribault, Minnesota and JoAnn Theobald of Dodgeville; as well as her dear friend Ted Sawle; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Judy Granberg, and husband Larry Meudt.
A private family memorial service will be held.
