Janet M. Butzler

Janet M. Butzler, age 89, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Manor in Footville.

She was born on April 13, 1928 in Sparta, WI, the daughter of D. Paul and Grace (Davis) Jones.

Janet married Vernon H. Butzler on November 6, 1948 in St. Mary’s Ridge, WI. Janet was a “Christian Mother” and a member of the Women of the Moose. She loved a clean house, baking, dancing, and playing cards, but most important Janet loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon; 10 children: Carole Hausmann [Mequon, Wi.], Karen [Mike] Landis [Brodhead, Wi.], Dean [Vickie] Butzler [Beloit, Wi.], Peggy [Bruce] Johnson [Janesville, Wi.], Mary Butzler [Beloit, Wi.], Bob [Sue] Butzler [Beloit, Wi.], Lynette [Jim] Riehle [West Bend, Wi.], Janan [David] Wolfe [Columbia City, Ind.], Kayleen [Dave] Smith [Brookfield, Wi.] and David Butzler [Orfordville, Wi.]; 25 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Christiano [Sparta, Wi.]. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Wayne and Verl Jones, a sister, Doris Foth, a son in law, John Hausmann and a great grandson Isaac Millard.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, with Fr. Joseph Baker presiding. Interment will be in Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Schneider Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Manor or St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
