Janesville man, on probation for burglary, arrested for alleged second burglary

JANESVILLE, Wis. — A Janesville man who was on probation for burglary was arrested Monday after allegedly burglarizing a horticulture center.

Janesville police said the 25-year-old was found near the wood line of Rotary Gardens Horticulture Center just after 4:30 a.m. Police were sent to the center after a burglar alarm was triggered.

Police said evidence confirmed the man burglarized the building.

The man was previously arrested in 2019 for burglarizing Blackhawk Golf Course on Palmer Drive and later pleaded No Contest.

News 3 Now is not naming the suspect at this time as part of a policy not to name suspects until they have been formally charged in court. He faces potential charges of burglary and violating probation.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
