Janesville Craig wins state baseball title

Prep Mania Game of the Week winter schedule released

Janesville Craig has won the WIAA division won state baseball title.

The team managed to use good pitching and timely hitting from McCauley Cox to beat Kimberly in the title game 2-0.

Craig went into the WIAA division one state final with a 29-1 record.They calmly steered through four-plus innings of Thursday’s game tied with Kimberly 0-0, but McCauley Cox was able to get a hit when it mattered. With two-on on the fifth inning, Cox smacked a ball to shallow center field, driving in two runs and securing a 2-0 win for the Cougars. 

Nick Kramer and Nick Blomgren combined to throw a six-hit shutout for the Cougars.
