James R. Tarver

James R. Tarver, 83, of Cassville, WI went to be with his Lord on June 13, 2012. Private family burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cassville, followed by a memorial service in Houston, TX. Memorials may be made to the James R. Tarver Memorial Fund, P.O. James was born on October 24, 1928 in Louisiana, the son of John Wesley and Annette (Kelly) Tarver. He was united in marriage to Nettie Deaton on June 5, 1954 in Houston, TX. In his younger years, James loved to hunt, fish, and read. He was a faithful member of his church. He loved his “Gorgeous Wife” and loved his whole family, he was a wonderful provider. In his later years he enjoyed playing his deer hunter game on the computer.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years; six children, Sandy (Victor) Henry of Huffman, TX; Wes (Sharon) Tarver of Houston, TX; Vince (Tanya) Tarver of Cassville; Lynette (Danny) Courtney of Chugiak, AK; Curtis Tarver of Cassville; and Dana (Harold) Eversole of Donna, TX; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Weatherly of Smithville, TX; and two brothers, Harold “Dobin” and Carrol “Shine” Tarver both of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gladys and Adina; and brother, Jay.
