James M. Brandenburg

James M. Brandenburg age 69, passed away on Thursday June 29, 2017.
He was born August 11, 1947 to Joseph and Lois (Wulk) Brandenburg in Clintonville, and grew up in Marion Wisconsin. He had a passion for gardening and a love for playing baseball, coaching little league, being a life long Cubs fan and seeing his beloved team win the World Series. James also received an offer to play in minor league baseball. Jim enlisted in the US Air Force for two consecutive tours of duty and served in Vietnam.
He was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant. Jim worked for the cable TV industry when cable was in its’ infancy. He later retired for Robbins Manufacturing. He was a member of the Fall River United Methodist Church and volunteered in Columbia County for domestic violence victims. James was married to Diane (Robbins) Tieman, his soulmate of more than twenty years on September 29, 2006.
He is survived by his wife Diane Tieman of Columbus; his son Jay (Anne) of Boling Brook IL and their daughter Kate Brandenburg; his daughter Tamela Brandenburg of Madison, and her son Kaleb Reardon (Megan Anderson) and their son Kayden of Reeseville; a step son Jason Tieman of Lake Geneva; four brothers William (Naomi), Donald (Bonnie), Daniel (Patsy) and Kent; sister-in-law Eileen Brandenburg; his former wife Faye Tuffs-Root; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother David.
A private family service will be held.
