James K. Anderson

DeForest-James “Jim” K. Anderson, age 39, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. He was born on August 12, 1972, in Richland Center, the son of James G. Anderson and Carol (Waterman) Dugan. Jim loved sports, boating, fishing and the outdoors, but more so, enjoyed sharing those things with his family and friends. He was a dedicated member of the DeForest Fire Department and previously Lake Mills. He always endeavored to find ways to help others in need professionally and personally.

Jim is survived by his children, Kylie and Lauren and their mother Beth; his mother and step-father, Carol and Dan Dugan; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Amanda Anderson; nephews Sam and James; grandfather Gordon (Jean) Anderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James G. Anderson; grandparents, Mildred Anderson, Frank Waterman, and Helen Waterman; and step-grandparents, Eugene and Dorothy Dugan.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona with Chaplain Bob Groth officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund for Kylie and Lauren’s education.
