Jackson Jason Vigen

Jackson Vigen Obituary

Jackson Jason Vigen passed unexpectedly at the young age of 22 at his home in Madison, WI on Thursday morning, July 21, 2022. He was born March 2, 2000 in Prairie du Chien, WI to Tammy Hill and Jason Vigen.

Jackson had a love for sports. He was an impressive basketball player (he had a wicked 3-point shot) and showed off his skills during his time at Iowa-Grant High School. After graduating in 2018, he later pursued and excelled in his career as a finance manager in the auto industry. Jackson (or StackinPax to his online friends) had a passion for videogames. Even after graduation, he stayed closely connected with many of his high school friends by playing with them online.

Jackson was a weird combination of lucky and unlucky. He was the type of person who would win it big at blackjack but also get struck by a stray baseball bat at batting practice. He enjoyed expensive shoes and clothing as well as fancy cars. He had big dreams and was driven to pursue them with the hopes to one day be his own boss. Jackson had a silly yet dry and snarky sense of humor that made his friends and family roll their eyes. Each of his jokes would be followed by a knowing look and a hearty chuckle. Jackson enjoyed his music and attended many festivals and concerts. You could find him singing the chorus of “Somebody You Used to know” by Gotye at the top of his lungs.

Jackson was a great young man with a big heart and a lot of love to give. This was seen regularly in his care for his mother, his brothers, his friends, and his fur-babies. He left us far too early and will be missed by all who knew him.

Jackson is survived by his parents Tammy (Brad) Hill and Jason Vigen; his brothers Maurice (Kelly Derauf) Boothe Jr., Marcus Boothe, Conner Vigen, Taylor Vigen, Brady Vigen and Ronald Hill; his grandparents Diane (Sam) Ramsey, Jolene Kuehl and Judy Vigen; his fur-babies Louie and Chanel.

Jackson was preceded in death by his grandfathers Elmer “Grandpa No-No” Colsch, Gene Vigen and Pat Freilinger.

A celebration of Jackson’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Dodgeville. A visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:45 PM on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to purchase a memorial in Jackson’s memory.
