MADISON – Jack Lynch, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, surrounded by his family at Agrace Hospice. Jack was born on May 5, 1933, in the 4thWard of Madison to Richard and Norma (Brictson). He is a graduate of Central High School and a veteran of the Korean War. Jack married his high school sweet-heart Mary Ann Schiro on June 23, 1956. He worked for the state of Wisconsin’s DOT and was involved in the construction and planning of Interstate I-94. Jack was a former usher at Queen of Peace Church and a driver for Meals on Wheels for several years. He was an avid golfer and board member of MARGA and also bowled with MARBA. Jack was a devoted father and grandfather, spending most of his retirement with his grandchildren, attending their many activities and special events. Jack has attended Badger games since he was in 4th grade until this past season. The day before he died, he enjoyed the last Badger Rose Bowl with his family at his side.

Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary Ann; children, Gina (Blair Swiler), Greg (Nancy), Tim (Linda), Kathleen (Oliver) Hazimeh and Dan (Christine); grandchildren, Conner, Keegan, Joseph, Teresa, George, Michael Hazimeh, Anna, John and Marie; sisters, Patricia (Gerald) Olson and Mary (Joe) Corbelli; brother-in-law, Victor (Jan) Schiro. Further survived by many other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard Jr., Robert, Betty, Harriet and William; aunts, Margaret, Molly, Bessie and Eleanor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 South Owen Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013, with Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
