It’s all about family for Melvin Gordon

Fomer Badgers star running back Melvin Gordon was back in his hometown of Kenosha this week for work and play.

Gordon is a community ambassador for the Jockey brand, a company founded in Kenosha.

He’s supporting the Jockey Being Family Foundation, which promotes adoption resources and help for post-adoptive families.

The current San Diego Charger said he was glad to see his family and friends, but he’s also a big fan of signing autographs and taking pictures for a good cause.

“Whether you’re adopted or whatever, family is family. That’s big with me. When they got on the phone with my agent or whoever they asked me to be a part of this. I was all for it,” Gordon said. “Me having younger people look up to me as a role model, it’s great to show that to them. So they know when they grow older and get in a position where people are looking up to them, they can follow the lead and help our community that way.”
