Irma Jo Sutton

Irma Jo Sutton, 97, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Fairhaven Senior Living in Whitewater, Wisconsin. She was born in St. Louis on Thanksgiving, November 27, 1919 to Conrad and Mary Neely Bollinger. She grew up in Brookfield, Illinois. On June 22, 1940 she married Robert Wilson Dopp, and they moved to West Allis, Wisconsin. He died in 2001. Later, she married Jack Sutton. He passed away in 2007.
Irma Jo worked as an LPN at West Allis Memorial Hospital. After retiring, she taught tap dance to adults, and formed the “Tap Happy Dancers.” She was a member of the West Allis Art Alliance, and active at the West Allis Senior Center until she moved to Fairhaven.
She loved to sing, raising her voice with joyful melodies. And she shared her love of art with everyone.
Surviving are her children, Bonnie Jo (Peter) Hurley, Mary (Larry) Narkis, and Robert (Sharon Stein) Dopp. Granny Jo will be missed by the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Matt, Dana (Andrew), Todd (Carrie) and Erin, and her great-grandchildren. Also missing her are other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by her parents, daughter-in-law Carol Goedert Dopp, and her siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fairhaven on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
