Irene Marie Fahey

Wauwatosa/Madison – Irene M. Fahey, age 92, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Brookfield, WI. She was born on April 30, 1920 in Dane, WI, the daughter of John and Susan (Palm) Hein. She was a teacher and during WWII taught electronics at Truax Air Force Base. Irene was united in marriage to Donald John Fahey on August 3, 1948 in Lodi, WI. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before his death in 1998. Irene was an artist and especially loved painting. She was also an avid bowler and reader.

She had 3 children: Sharon (Alfonso) Garza, John (Laura) Fahey and Patrick Fahey; she was the proud grandmother of: Joseph (Allison), Justin (Emily), James (Jennifer), Mark, Christopher (Kathleen), and Benjamin Fahey and Jonathan and Jacob Huntington; and beloved great-grandmother of: Ellie, Natalie and Lucie Fahey, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald and siblings: Lillian, Clarence, John, Howard, Rose, Ruth and Earl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
