Investigation underway after person found dead at Devil’s Lake State Park
BARABOO, Wis. — A investigation is underway in Sauk County after a person was found dead at Devil’s Lake State Park, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
A call about an injured person was initially reported around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Officials with the sheriff’s office said the death is being investigated as a possible homicide.
No other additional information about the victim was available as of 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The park is currently closed off, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource officials are responding to an incident at the south shore of Devil’s Lake State Park in Sauk County. The park is closed to the public at this time, according to a release from DNR.
The DNR is working with the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office and the Baraboo Police Department.
