In the 608: Ways to give back before next school year
MADISON, Wis. – One week from today, we’ll be sending News 3 Now This Morning anchor Leah Linscheid off in a boat and inviting you to stop by with your donations for our Back to School Drive in partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County. There are a number of events for you to enjoy while you’re at it.
There are many local partners helping us out this year, as we hope to make it yet another success.
We hope to once again make a big difference for families getting ready to send their kids back to school.
Wingra Boats is hosting one of the events happening next Friday, August 5. This is going to be part of their “Music on the Water” event. It goes from 6 to 9 pm. You can bring those school supplies along with you here, and they’ll get it to the right place.
It’s as simple as your regular pencils, pens, notebooks and backpacks to help make a difference for your neighbors.

You can also help without leaving home by buying items from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County’s Amazon Wishlist here. Items will be delivered directly to BGCDC. We’ve also posted a map online with all the places you can donate.
