In the 608: Preview of Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. – The 69th Annual Sun Prairie Corn Festival is back this week, featuring traditional favorites with a blend of new features.

This year’s festival has new elements including an expansion to a five-day “Corn Fest” which runs Wednesday, August 17th to Sunday, August 21st

It includes a corn eating contest, corn hole tournament, kid’s activity tent and six bands throughout the festival.

By tradition, the parade down historic Main Street kicks off the festival. Due to the new high school and football games on Thursday evening, the parade is Wednesday evening. With the date shift, the activities in Cannery Square were added.

Parking onsite Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday is $5.00 per vehicle. This includes the $1 admission fee per person on Saturday and Sunday.
