Job search, mentorship programs available

MADISON, Wis. — Students are getting ready to flip their tassels and throw their caps inside Camp Randall, joining a community of more than 440,000 living Badger alumni. Graduation weekend is upon us!
As new UW-Madison graduates, young adults will have access to a variety of resources. If you’re a recent grad and want to stay connected to the Badger community, visit this link.
Although we don’t know who from the Class of 2019 will be one day joining this link, the Wisconsin Alumni Association boasts a long list of notable alumni. Those include Frank Lloyd Wright, Dick Cheney, Charles Lindbergh, Joan Cusack, and this year’s commencement speaker, JJ Watt. You can see the full list of “notable alumni” here.
JJ Watt is also featured in an all-new episode of “Thank You, 72,” the Alumni Association’s podcast. You can list to the 20-minute episode here.

On its website, the Wisconsin Alumni Association lists several things new grads can now do. Besides joining their network, they say alumni can wear their new pin, take in Badger games at local WAA chapters’ watch parties, and actually sit down at football games… even homecoming!
The Alumni Association also offers job and networking resources to help kick off your career.
Graduation weekend festivities begin on Friday, with the doctoral and medical professional degree ceremony at the Kohl Center. The campuswide commencement is at Camp Randall at noon on May 11.
