Davis, IL – Howard F. Fosler, age 89, of Davis, IL, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Medina Manor in Durand, IL. He was born on February 19, 1924 in Winnebago County, Durand Township, IL, the son of Oscar and Belle (Glaim) Fosler.

Howard graduated from Durand High School in 1941 and started farming in Laona Township in 1959. He also worked for Spelman Service Station for over 32 years. Howard was an avid raccoon hunter and a harness race fan.

He is survived by two sisters, Arlene (Bill) Steward, Durand, IL, Beverly (Raymond) Lewis, Davis, IL; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the American Legion Hall, 211 State Street, Durand, IL. Burial will be in South Rock Run Cemetery, rural Durand.
