High School Student Elected To Price County Board
A high school student will soon be seated on the Price County Board, becoming the youngest member to be elected as a supervisor in that county.
Eighteen-year-old Travis Nez beat a local businessman, John Reardon, who mentored him in politics and business by 94 votes in Tuesday’s election. Reardon said Nez will deal with spending millions of dollars in taxpayer money as a county supervisor and hopes he’s up for it.
The Phillips High School senior said he’s got a tight schedule, but will make his new job a priority.
Nez will be sworn in April 17, will graduate high school a month later and will begin college in the fall.
