Henry K. “Hank” Linden

MADISON-Henry K. “Hank” Linden, age 80, of Madison, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Nov. 18, 1931, in Madison, the son of Henry J. and Catherine (Feeney) Linden.
Henry graduated from Edgewood High School and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He married Florence L. Mitman on Nov. 27, 1952 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and they were stationed at several locations throughout the country. The couple moved back to Madison after the Air Force where Henry became employed by the Madison Police Department. He retired as lieutenant in 1987 after serving 32 years with the department. Henry enjoyed photography, hunting, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. His greatest joy in life was being with his grandchildren.
Henry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Florence; children, James (Kathy) Linden of Bradford, Pa., Dave (Terrie) Linden of Verona, Ann (Mike) Frederickson of Madison, and John (Bonnie) Linden of Finlayson, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 413 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 A.M. on Friday, June 15, 2012, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, June 14, 2012, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
