Henry F. Brunner

CROSS PLAINS-Henry F. Brunner, age 90, passed away on March 13, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on Oct. 2, 1922, the son of John and Priscilla Brunner. He married Beatrice Niesen on Sept. 9, 1947. Together they farmed in the Town of Cross Plains until retiring. Henry enjoyed singing in the choir, playing cards, and being a charter member of the Knights of Columbus 3924.

Henry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beatrice; nine children, Phyllis (James) Schwartz, Richard (friend, Debbie) Brunner, Joanne (Louis) Meinholz, Karen (Bernard, deceased) Reisinger, Paul (Susan) Brunner, Vincent (Karen) Brunner, Kathryn Glynn, Elaine Meinholz, and Gary (Kris) Brunner; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sr. Virginia and Sr. Mary Therese; and brother, Deacon Norbert (Marion) Brunner. He was preceded in death by his brother, John; sister-in-law, June Brunner; sisters, Sr. J. Delores, Margaret Acker, and Ruth; and brother-in-law, Joe Maier.

A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service as well as after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Francis Endowment Fund or to the School Sisters of St. Francis.
