Helen L. Kersten

Helen L. Kersten, age 90, of Janesville, died on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at home.

She was born in New Glarus, WI on Dec. 9, 1926, the daughter of Ed and Ida (Becker) Hoesly. She married Chester E. Kersten in Janesville on Nov. 20, 1943, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1993.

Helen retired from Parker Pen and was a member of the Janesville Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, and many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard Kersten; and brothers, Ray and Harold Hoesly.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Rev. Bond Haldeman officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
