Heavy rain to continue falling on Madison Wednesday
McLean: Madison could see at least another inch of rain

MADISON, Wis. — After an 8-day respite from wet weather, News 3 Meteorologist Haddie McLean is warning people to expect a very wet day Wednesday in Madison.
1.2 inches of rain has fallen in Madison overnight, causing flooding on the Beltline and backups on other nearby streets.
But McLean said the rain is far from over.
“As the storm system tracks across northern Illinois today, steady rain will continue into the afternoon,” said McLean. “Rain will decrease in intensity this afternoon and come to an end from west to east this evening. Additional amounts of 0.75″ to 1.5″ are possible through the day.”
The rain has causing flooding on the Beltline near Todd Drive, which has caused backups on the busy freeway.
