Harry J. Romanowski

Waunakee/Milwaukee – Harry J. Romanowski, age 90, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Waunakee. He was born on May 27, 1921 in Krakow, WI, the son of John and Clara Romanowski.
Harry graduated from Bay View High School in Milwaukee in 1939 where he excelled at track. He was employed at Wehr Steel as Customer Service Manager for 26 years until his retirement in 1983. He served in the Army Air Force in WWII in the Asian & Pacific Theatre. Harry married Jane F. Malecki on March 18, 1944 and was devoted to her for 68 years. He and Jane were lifelong avid golfers.
Harry is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters Judy Stolper (Gene Haug) and Sherry (Ron) Hyslop, both of Madison; grandchildren, Rachel Hyslop of Fitchburg, Dan (Beth) Hyslop of Warwick, R.I., and Megan Hyslop (Scott Noble) of Indianapolis, IN; great-grandson George Hyslop; and other family, including brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Chester and Ervin and grandsons Michael and Andy Stolper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 353 E. Norwich Street, Milwaukee. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday at the church. Entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery and Mausoleum.
