Gun-waving mall patron flees police, arrested inside business

MADISON, Wis. — An 18-year-old was arrested Friday evening after waving a gun inside West Towne Mall, Madison police said.

Police said a shopper at the mall contacted police after she saw a man waving a gun inside the mall. The man fled and was located hiding in a nearby business.

The man, Christopher Rayford, was taken into custody and the gun was recovered, police said.
