Gracie Roemer

Gracie Roemer, 89 of Sauk City passed away Sunday 10/9/2022 at Sauk-Prairie Hospital.

She was born in Freeport, Illinois and was the daughter of Louis & Grace (Baker) Marassa. She Married Roland Roemer April 2, 1948 and he passed away April 7, 2000.

Surviving is one daughter, Sally (Michael) O’Mara of Madison, Wi., three sons, William Roemer of Madison, Robert (Sheila) Roemer of Sauk City, Randy (Cheryl) Roemer of Inverness, Florida, two sisters, Sylvia (Allen) Gillette of Freeport, Il., and Linda Simler of Ocala, Fl. Seven (7) Grandchildren, Sean (Peggy) O’Mara of Freeport, Il., Chad (Jade) O’Mara of Lodi, Wi., Keely (Eddie) Gnewuch of Middleton, Wi., Stacy (Shane) Midthun of Sauk City, Brent Roemer of Sauk City, Nathan Roemer of Madison and Becky (Kevin) Hoyt of Longwood, Fl. Twelve (12) Great Grand Children, Gage O’Mara-Jones of Winter Park, Fl., Gavyn Gnewuch of Middleton, Wi., Maddie O’Mara of Madison, Michael O’Mara of Lodi, Wi., Chadryc Jaimes O’Mara of Lodi, Rose Midthun of Sauk City, Emma Midthun of Sauk City, Meadow Roemer of Sauk City, Tyler Bishop of Boston, Ma, Kaitlyn Neet of Spokane, Wa., Nicole Bishop of Cheyenne, Wy, Alyssa Hoyt of Longwood, Fl., Jax Windler of Inverness, Fl., Five (5) Great Grandchildren by marriage. And a very special friend, Vilas Richards of Sauk City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Gracie enjoyed trap shooting, bow hunting, deer hunting, boating, fishing and birds. Hummingbirds were her favorite. She loved being with family and spoiling the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

There will be a private family service and burial on 10/14/2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Dementia/Alzheimer’s Funds.
