Glenn A. Wanek

Madison – Glenn A. Wanek, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 8, 1963 to Allen and Rose Wanek in Milwaukee. Glenn worked for the State of Wisconsin for 20 years. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. Glenn loved camping, particularly at the Yogi Bear Park in the Wisconsin Dells. He loved being with his children, and riding the boat cars. He loved animals, being outside, feeding the squirrels and reading his newspaper. His favorite joys were providing for his children and nephew.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Michele; sons, Alexander and Christopher; mother, Rose Marie; sisters, Jenny Adams and Sandy Wanek; his nephew, Nathan Wanek. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. All who come are asked wear their favorite Packer, Brewer or Badger colors. Donations may be made to the family, for a memorial to be decided.
