Gladys M. Vine

MADISON/STOUGHTON—Gladys M. Vine age 87, was lifted into the arms of the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. She was born on April 12, 1924 in the Town of Leeds to Andre and Clara (Michelson) Sharpee. Gladys worked for the A. O. Smith Co. in Milwaukee during WWII. Later she was employed by the Oscar Meyer Co. in Madison. She was a cook for a prominent Madison family for 10 years. Gladys loved playing cards, reading and following Brewers baseball. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trip to Africa. Survivors include her daughter, Colleen (Dan) Beck of Miamisburg, OH; two sons, Lawrence (Sandra) of Beaver Dam and Bradley (Deborah) of Kalida, OH; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Phillip Muntz of Nova Scotia; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Palmer, Olin, Louis, Bill; one sister, Clarice Muntz. A private family graveside will be held at the Norway Grove Cemetery, DeForest.
