This is Giannis' second appearance on the cover of SI.

Milwaukee — Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will grace the cover of Sports Illustrated for the second time in his career. The April 8th edition features Giannis dunking over several Spurs players as teammate Khris Middleton looks on.

It was Middleton who told Giannis he’d be featured on the cover.

“He walked in and he said ‘Thank you for putting me on the Sports Illustrated cover.,” Giannis said after Wednesday’s practice. “I was like ‘What are you talking about?’ And then he said ‘You’re on the cover.’ I was like ‘Okay, good to know. I didn’t know that.’ I just woke up, got my stuff, came to practice. He was happy that he was in the background. I was like ‘Yeah, you know I got you, bro.’
