Gerhard Fritz Pankoke

MADISON-Gerhard Fritz Pankoke of Madison passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at age 90 after a brief illness.

Born in Bielefeld, Germany on June 25, 1927, Gerhard was the youngest of two sons of Ernst and Klara Pankoke. After immigrating to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1953,

Gerhard married Rosemarie E. Kynast on July 26, 1958. They lived in Milwaukee and Door County for many years before moving to Madison. Gerhard worked as an electrician and was skilled at any project. He loved nature, his horses, his dog, Alf, and, most of all, his family.

Gerhard is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie; daughter, Heidi Pankoke (Rick Chandler) and granddaughters, Claire and Allie Chandler of Madison; and brother, Fritz Pankoke (Brunhild) of Bielefeld, Germany. Private services will be held at a later date.
