Gerald M. Klopotek “Gopher”

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Gerald M. Klopotek “Gopher” age 84, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at his home. Gerald was born to Martin and Dora (Leismann) Klopotek on February 23, 1933 in Columbus. Gerald graduated from Fall River High School. He was married to Betty Ann Borck in November of 1955. Gerald was employed at Borck Bottle Gas LP service and later was foreman at the Wisconsin Gas Company in Sun Prairie, retiring in 1995. He was an avid hunter of all game and enjoyed taking hunting trips to Canada and Arkansas to name a few. He had a love for cars and collected many through the years. Gerald was a devoted husband and loving father. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Ann of Sun Prairie; one daughter Stephanie Hughes of Lake Geneva; one son Bryan Klopotek of Beaver Dam; one brother John Klopotek of Valders; special friend Doug Kasper of Cambria; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother David; a sister Lorraine Evans. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday June 1, 2017 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation. Interment will be in the Fall River Cemetery, Fall River.
