Gerald C. “Jerry” Erickson

WAUNAKEE-Gerald C. “Jerry” Erickson, age 78, of Waunakee, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at UW Hospital.

He was born on March 15, 1939, in Pontiac, Mich., the son of Carl and Blanche (Romanski) Erickson. Jerry graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1957, later earning his master’s degree in Business from Michigan State University. He married Clareen Pingel on May 17, 1980.

Jerry worked in sales for Northwestern Mutual Life, and later at Inn on the Park. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping and just being outdoors. Throughout all of his health struggles, he never failed to have a smile on his face. He was the worlds greatest uncle.

Jerry is survived by wife, Clareen “Clare”; his sister, Karen Klukowski of Ludington, Mich; and many nieces, nephews and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private Mass will be held. A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, it is Jerry’s wish to have memorials be made to Fishing Has No Boundaries, Inc. (fhnbinc.org).
