Garald R. Homan Sr.

JANESVILLE — Garald R. Homan, Sr., age 86, of Janesville, died at home on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.

He was born in Janesville on Aug. 28, 1930, the son of Emil and Mildred (Woods) Homan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and married Joan Hegelmeyer on Dec. 20, 1958, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 1999. Gary had been employed by the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his 2 sons, John Homan and Garald R. Homan, Jr., both of Janesville; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Arola MacKinnon of Janesville; special friend, Fran Ewers of Janesville; best friend, Larry Cole of Adams Friendship, WI; and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Jack Homan; and granddaughter, Michelle Homan.
