In 1952 they left Germany for the United States where they worked on various farms in the Sauk Prairie area, and became US citizens on May 24, 1974 which they were very proud of. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Karl in 2008, her siblings Paul, Anna, Lotai, and Raisi.
Her German sass and spunk will be missed by her longtime neighbors and all her many friends while living at Maplewood Village and Nursing Home. Frieda will be remembered for her response ” Five dollars and 50 cents” when anyone asked her what she needed. She could brighten anyones day with her antics.
A very big thank you to all Frieda’s caregivers over the years. The kindness , comfort and friendship provided these past years was greatly appreciated by her.
No formal services will be held. For those wishing to honor Frieda, please make a donation to the Sauk Prairie Hospital, Sauk County Humane Society, the local food pantry, or a favorite charity of your choice.
