Francisco Aguero Avila

MADISON-Francisco Aguero Avila, age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at UW Hospital after suffering two major heart attacks and irreversible brain damage.
He was born on June 4, 1945, in Cuba, the son of Eugene and Olivia Aguero Avila. Francisco came from a family of 18 brothers and sisters. He came to the United States in 1981. Francisco was married to Constance on April 18, 1998, after over fifteen years of dating.
He was the father of sixteen children, three whom live in the United States. His children will do an incredible job of strengthening Francisco’s already strong legacy. Francisco was living in Madison, apart from his children, at the end, but never was there a time anyone felt Francisco wasn’t there for his children as well, as Constance. Even up until his final days, Francisco did not lack compassion and would do everything he could for his family. Francisco shared himself with the world through two Cuban salsa bands and numerous friends. He was the kind of man that would be there for anyone. Francisco was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
