Forward Madison to host World Cup watch parties throughout tournament
MADISON, Wis. — If you’ve caught World Cup fever, Forward Madison may just have your cure.
The team is hosting watch parties throughout the tournament at the Forward Club. The club will be open every day of the tournament, except Thanksgiving, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Entry is free, but the club is expected to fill up quickly. Space is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The club’s bar will be open for fans to purchase food and drinks, and members of the Mingos’ team and coaching staff are expected to make appearances at the parties, especially when the USA and Mexico are in action.
Forward Madison is offering special reservations for USA and Mexico matchday. A ticket will secure you a table, pizza and beer. You can find more information on FMFC’s website by clicking here.
The World Cup got underway on Sunday, with Ecuador defeating hosts Qatar. Both the USA and Mexico are guaranteed to play at least three matches. The USA’s first game is set for Monday at 1 p.m. against Wales. Mexico’s first match will be on Tuesday at 10 a.m. against Poland.
The Americans will play England on Friday at 1 p.m. and Iran on Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. Mexico will take on Argentina on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Saudi Arabia on Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.
You can find a full match schedule below. All times listed are in Qatari time, which is nine hours ahead of Central Time. For example, a time listed as 22:00 on the schedule would take place at 1 p.m. CT.
