Former deputy accused of soliciting sex from minor pleads not guilty

MONTELLO, Wis. — A former Marquette County Sheriff’s deputy accused of soliciting sex from a minor pleaded not guilty Tuesday, online court records show.
Travis Bittelman, 37, is charged with soliciting intimate representation from a minor, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and using a firearm while intoxicated. During an arraignment hearing Tuesday, he pleaded not guilty to all three counts.

Bittelman’s bond was also modified during the hearing. He will now be allowed to use any device necessary to review discovery related to the case, provided legal counsel is present.
