Former Braves SS Logan to get Miller Park honor
Former Milwaukee Braves shortstop Johnny Logan will be inducted into the Miller Park Walk of Fame this summer.
Logan played in Milwaukee from 1953 to 1961, and he appeared in four All-Star Games as a Brave. Over his 13-year career he hit .268 with 93 home runs and 547 RBI.
He was also a member of the Braves World Series championship team in 1957 and the National League championship team in 1958.
Logan received over 72 percent of the vote in Walk of Fame balloting. Voters include Wisconsin sports reporters and Brewers executives.
Logan said it’s a very special honor for a New York boy to be honored in the great city of Milwaukee.
Other inductees to the Walk of Fame include Hank Aaron, Paul Molitor and Robin Yount.
