Flood Advisory for Madison Wednesday morning
Some areas received 1.5 inches of rain

MADISON, Wis. — Madison is under an urban/small stream flood advisory until 9:30 a.m., following a quick burst of rain early this morning.
Radar at the National Weather Service office in Sullivan indicates as much as 1.5 inches of rain fell in central Dane County over the last hour or two from three different storms.
“Our dry weather had nothing to do with this,” WISC-TV Meteorologist Haddie McLean said. “The thunderstorms that came through dropped heavy rainfall in a short period of time, and the National Weather Service was worried about runoff.”
Runoff from this rainfall could cause minor flooding to occur along small streams and near low water crossings.
