Fitchburg police look for man who robbed Fish Hatchery Road bank

Fitchburg police are looking for a man who robbed a bank on Fish Hatchery Road Tuesday afternoon, according to a release.

Around 1:15 p.m., Fitchburg police responded to a bank robbery alarm at the Associated Bank at 3002 Fish Hatchery Road, according to a news alert.

Bank employees told police they were robbed by a man, but no weapons were displayed or mentioned, officials said. No injuries were reported.

The robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, but a police K-9 track was not able to find the man.

The man is described as white, in his early 50s, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build and gray hair and a scruffy beard or goatee. He was wearing glasses, a gray Adidas hooded sweatshirt with lime green stripes, jeans and a light-colored knit cap.
