Fitchburg police look for grocery store robber

FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg police are investigating an armed robbery at a Hyvee grocery store Thursday.
Just before 2 a.m., the suspect tried to steal several items at the store on Fitchrona Road.
When an employee confronted the man, he took out a knife or some other type of bladed weapon and ran away, police said. A K-9 search was unsuccessful.
The employee told police the culprit was about 60 years old and wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a dark jacket and dark pants.
