Fitchburg man charged with robbing 3 gas stations

A Fitchburg man has been charged in federal court with robbing three Madison-area gas stations within four days.
Prosecutors said Raequon Allen, 20, robbed a Mobile gas station on Junction Road in Madison on Jan. 29, a Stop-N-Go gas station on Schroeder Road in Madison on Jan. 30 and a PDQ gas station on Century Avenue in Middleton on Feb. 1.
He is accused of brandishing a firearm during the first two robberies.
Allen faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each robbery count if convicted. He faces a mandatory penalty of seven years in federal prison on the first brandishing a firearm count, to be served consecutively to any prison sentence imposed for that robbery, and a mandatory minimum penalty of 25 years on the second brandishing a firearm count, to be served consecutively to any other sentence imposed.
