Fitchburg Family Pharmacy honored for bike accessibility
FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg Family Pharmacy was recognized Wednesday for its efforts to be more accessible for cyclists.
The pharmacy was given the Bronze Bicycle Friendly Business award by the League of American Bicyclists. Nearly 1,500 businesses nationwide have earned the award.
“I want to thank the community for supporting us,” owner Thad Schumacher said. “We look forward to seeing what else we can do and hope the city can go for gold.”
Bicycles are a common sight at the pharmacy. The store offers delivery by bike, has a charity ride team and sponsors community biking events. Customers arriving by bicycle can also get discounts.
