UPDATE: University Bay Drive closure rescheduled for Monday night, Tuesday morning

UPDATE 2: A planned overnight closure of University Bay Drive at University Avenue in Madison has been rescheduled for Monday night into Tuesday morning, the city said Friday.
The closure is now scheduled to happen at 7 p.m. Monday and last through 5 a.m. Tuesday. The intersection is being closed to allow construction crews to install a storm sewer pipe across University Bay Drive.
Access to medical facilities in the area will be maintained; drivers will need to use Marshall Court and Highland Avenue. Emergency vehicles will be able to get through the area using a gravel access lane.
The closure had been scheduled for Thursday night into Friday morning but was postponed “due to an unforeseen conflict.”

MADISON, Wis. — A portion of University Bay Drive at University Ave. will be closed overnight Thursday into early Friday morning as construction continues in that area.
The City of Madison says the closure will last from 7 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday while construction crews install a large storm sewer pipe across University Bay Drive.
During the closure, access to UW Health, the VA, and the American Family Children’s Hospital facilities as well as businesses in the area will remain available by using Marshall Court and Highland Ave.
A gravel access lane through the work zone will also be open for emergency vehicles.
The closure is not expected to last beyond the posted hours.
