Fiers leads Brewers over Cubs, 6-2
Strikes out 14 batters in six innings

CHICAGO — Mike Fiers had a career high 14 strikeouts in six innings as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Chicago Cubs 6-2 on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Fiers (2-1) allowed just three hits and one walk as the Brewers earned a split in the four-game series.
Khris Davis hit his 20th homer of the season and Mark Reynolds hit his 21st as the Brewers knocked Cubs starter Edwin Jackson (6-14) out of the game in the fifth inning.
Jackson gave up seven hits and five runs in four-and-two-thirds innings.
Elian Herrera had three hits for the Brewers and Scooter Gennett drove in two runs.
Milwaukee continues its road trip with a game in Los Angeles Friday night.
