Feds will monitor Wisconsin elections

Department of Justice will send observers

U.S. Justice Department officials said they plan to monitor elections in Wisconsin on Tuesday.

The Justice Department routinely deploys observers to monitor elections across the country. They look for discriminatory voting practices, harassment and intimidation.

Wisconsin will hold primary elections on Tuesday. The agency issued a statement Monday saying it plans to monitor polling sites in Milwaukee.

Observers will also be sent to Florida, which is also holding primaries Tuesday.
